Shampoos, Soaps or body washes. Which do I use?

Since oils do not dissolve in water, The most effective way to remove oils and dirt from the skin and hair, is by using oils.
The base of All liquid soaps, bar soaps, shampoos and almost every other cleansing agents are oils. Oils need to go through a “Saponification Process”. Saponified oil or fat is a lipid substance treated with sodium or Potassium hydroxide to convert it into soap. Depending on whether they are liquid or bar soaps.

In most cases, no Sodium Hydroxide or Potassium Hydroxide, remains in the soap. This is why most soaps can claim they are all Natural.
Many soaps throughout history have used animal fat, also called tallow, to make soap. … Nowadays, most soaps you buy in stores are synthetically made. However, you can still find soaps made from animal fat, called tallow soaps.
Knowing that the base of every shampoo, soap and cleanser is the same, are there any differences between them?

After a “Cleansing Base” is created, other ingredients are added to the base, to market them either as as hand soaps, bath gels, bar soaps, shampoos or face and body washes. These can include waxes and butters, fragrances and whatever the “IN” ingredient may be at the time of production. All liquid soaps, shampoos, face and body cleansers are mostly water.
However, in order to keep the ingredients from separating, and to give it a longer shelf life, chemicals are added.

With marketing budgets in the Billions, the big companies saw the potential for exponential sales growth, by convincing customers that they need a different cleanser for different uses, when the soap base is exactly the same.
The short answer is YES, one can use an all natural Soap to wash your hair, scalp, body, face clothes and dishes.

There are obviously exceptions. Although pure soaps will remove dirt and oil, it can leave hair and skin dry. They don’t only remove dirt, but also the natural protective oils that our bodies produce.
At naturesOrganix.net , we urge all our valued clients to use products on their hair and skin, that are as natural as possible.
We think it is better to use a Natural Moisturizer after your cleansing process, in order to restore the oil and moisture balance in your skin and hair, rather than adding those to the soaps and shampoos during the cleansing process.
